Once again this year, the time had come: From June 24 to 27, the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE) hosted the Wind Energy Science Conference. Numerous doctoral researchers and project leaders from the Collaborative Research Centre 1463 attended it. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange and networking with international researchers as well as industry experts.
In addition to the scientific program, the agenda included guided tours of the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm and the Centrale Nantes research facilities. Participants also enjoyed city tours of Nantes and a visit to the Carrousel des Mandes Marins. The conference concluded with a gala dinner held in the impressive halls of Les Machines de l’île.
With more than 1,000 participants and over 600 scientific contributions, WESC offered a diverse forum for professional dialogue and cross-disciplinary inspiration. All attendees have found the experience highly enriching, and we look forward to future opportunities to present our research on an international stage.
