Project area S

The development of a Digital Twin (DT) for offshore megastructures is the central objective of CRC 1463. To achieve this goal, service projects provide essential support and infrastructure services. They develop and operate tools, data, and software platforms that ensure the technical, organizational, and methodological robustness of the entire collaborative research centre. This enables the scientific project areas to work together efficiently, keep their results compatible, and integrate them seamlessly into the DT. An essential task in this context is to consolidate developments from all subprojects within the shared computational environment DeSiO.

The S1 service project plays a key role in the implementation, integration, documentation, and use of this common software environment. In addition, S1 develops optimizations for the parallelization of simulations to provide a powerful, scalable, and consistent infrastructure. In doing so, S1 establishes the technical and structural foundations for the sustainable and coordinated use of the Digital Twin throughout the research network.
